Later, at Brown University she studied acting and at Juilliard School, after which, her career took off. Following her graduation at Brown University, she began making her Broadway debut shortly thereafter. After two years of this, her first feature film was released and the next year she made her television debut. She has appeared in innumerable film, TV and stage shows since. Over the course of her career, she won several awards, among them her two Golden Globe Awards. In spite of her many accolades, she is still a lover of acting and has performed on both screen and stage.
