Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou in Beaumont Puy De Domme in France was born on the 9th of August in 1976. Audrey was the oldest child of four. She was encouraged by her parents, dentist and teacher who both taught her to follow her love of acting. This contrasted her earlier ambition to become a primateologist because she was a fan of monkeys. Her meteoric rise as an actor in the young age was quick and marked by her early successes. It was only at the age of 1999 the year she first began performing professionally. Following her studies Tautou participated in the French talent scouting television programme Jeunes Premiers. Although she studied at The Institut Catholique de Paris and went to church as a child, Tautou is now averse to her religious upbringing and has stated she's not Catholic. Neben her acting, Tautou took up modeling and was the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. In addition to her acting work she is also interested in photography. The actress recently showed some of her photographs at the Arles Film Festival with the name Superficial. Her photography is focused on celebrity, fame and the media who scrutinized her following her fame-making debut in the film Amelie. Also, she has several photographs that show her self. Audrey Tautou became a star and gained international recognition with her first role in Amelie Poulain in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie. Amelie has been undoubtedly a huge box office smash internationally and has been lauded at numerous award shows around the world. It's the most-grossing French film in America. The following year, she starred in British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Junet's The long day of the fiancailles. After that, Tautou went to Hollywood where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
